Conversions – Case Study

Swallow Barn, Greystoke Craft Gardens

DMB Building Ltd converted Swallow Barn at Greystoke Craft Gardens from a draughty traditional barn into a warm, insulated space. It now provides an all year round venue for Quirky Workshops crafting courses.

We used insulated plaster on the ceiling, and Diathonite insulated lime and cork plaster on all walls and gables. With wildlife conservation in mind, swift holes were preserved and created, and swallow nesting sites left accessible.
